Thomas Vanek on not scoring, the recent winning streak and more
While surfing around the Web I decided to swing by Thomas Vanek's website and came across this interview. A few quick quotes from it:
On the Sabres' recent winning ways: "We have played good hockey over the last few weeks, even though we did lose some of those games before we started our winning-streak...But we have still some ways to go and need to focus on playing constantly well."
In response to the inevitable Drury-and-Briere-leaving question: "(I)t was never as bad as the media said it was. Our young players have learned a lot over the last two years."
How he feels when he misses his chances: "Yeah, I always want to score. You don’t get that many chances on this level. When I don’t score I’m really pissed. Really, I take that personally!"
